Nothing at all to apologize about brother! We all start somewhere. RS has gotten quicker on some ABS parts, but the Fett get up is obviously very complicated and takes typically multiple vendors to get what you need. RS can do the entire suit as well, but I'd expect 1.5 years to get it. Unless you luck up and find a complete suit for sale that you'd be happy with, 1-2 years is a very realistic timeline. And even with a full costume it could still take further tailoring/altering to get it to fit someone best. Having good parts is important for 501st entry, but fit of it all is just as important.
