Well it's time for a long over due update!
I have the red down on the helmet, I lost some paint to the masking tape so that is a bummer but not anything that can not be fixed!

I started over on the ammo belt this morning. I was not happy with my wood blocks and fake leather so I went over to Tandy where j got a great deal on a side of beautiful Italian leather. (Insanely over kill for a Fett belt but what can I say I like nice things!) My wife looked at the wood blocks I had cut for the fake leather and came up with a usable pattern for real leather after a little trial and error. These will secure with magnets and I will put snaps on the proper pouches that require them. There are a couple pouches that still look a bit discolored, but that is simply because I got them wet to allow me to work with them more easily. Tomorrow I will apply the dye to the leather to get them the correct color and I will also finish the actual belt that the pouches get mounted too. I think they came out really well, but please tell me if I missed the mark so I can start over! The stitch I used is the saddle stitch.
