I have yet to attempt a Helmet...so I was wondering a few things. First, just how sturdy is the fillet type dome using Wizards templates? and what are some folks doing to strengthen it if so? and is Trashcans viable for that s cardboard? (whoops guess that was alot of firsts 
)
Second, I notice alot of people casting helmet domes or using skate helmets for their domes. If you use a skating helmet are you cutting it or just attaching everything as is onto the existing helmet? I presumed folks were cutting away just the top part of the skate helmet....is that right?
Third, are there any other alternatives to a dome I may have missed? I was thinking of things like childs police helmets etc anyone had success there?
