I had only ever had one extended dealing with Mike (sleepalot). About a month ago he wrote me on my facebook messenger. I was unaware of his real name (or that he was sleepalot here) at the time he initially contacted me. He asked me questions about my work, the helmets I cast, and really played up the newbie card. He actually told me he was referred to me by an Alor'ad on the mercs that I talk to. Things started to seem weird. I contacted the Alor'ad and he had never heard of Mike. Then things got interesting. A few days later he contacted me again. He continued to harass me throughout the early AMs of morning while I was working on some orders. Attacked my professionalism, work, character, it didn't seem like anything was off limits. All of this, and I still hadn't acknowledged that I knew who he was (though I had been told earlier in that night after asking a few TDH member via text).
So, as far as speaking of his character, I have a firsthand knowledge of his poor character. What he said to me, (possibly) thinking I didn't know who he was was downright disrespectful on any level, personal or professional. I have no doubt this wasn't the only time he's done something of that nature, and after the trolling and scamming (if that was indeed what was happening) that had happened in the past, I'm not at all surprised by the banning.
It's unfortunate that these things happen at all. This community seems to be getting a little hostile as of late. Hostile to the point of scaring away new members, and keeping older ones from contributing as much as they had in years past. I hope we as a community can turn this around.
