In case anyone is interested, I think I've found the seven segment displays for a good price on AliExpress. Unfortunately the angle isn't shown on there, but I think I could estimate it.

I haven't found a cheap source for the "exact" LEDs yet though, so I'll probably go with the bar graph approach. I'll update here if I can find them.
