eFx Mandalorian Season 2 Helmet

Each to their own. I’m not gonna pass on a lineage Mando helmet, which has connection to the show. The helmet is awesome, can’t wait to get this in hand. Iv seen these paint up, in glorious Alumaluster and they look brilliant. These cast is cleaner and better IMO, than Anovos’s 3D scanned version. Iv also seen the first EFX Mando Helmet in person so I know with my own eyes, what I’m getting.

To add to that, I own a fan made helmet, painted in Alumaluster. I missed out on the first Mando helmet, made by EFX. I heard a lot of mixed opinions about the paint job, so I passed. I definitely have a painter in mind, that will work magic on this lineage cast. Picture below, of my fan made Alumaluster painted, Mando Helmet.

The paint and weathering look really good. Cant comment on the accuracy as I have never put too much effort in understanding the Mando helmet paint, but it looks quality.
Youre right.. it cant be denied, that the lineage aspect holds a lot of value. And the Season 1 Mando helmet seemed to be a good cast. However these pictures of the Season 2 ... somethign seems off there. Especially with the ears and its not just the paint.

I am by no means trying to talk you out of it or even critizise or make you feel uneasy about your purchase. I think it is a sound investment into an item that on its own alone will probably hold its value or even go up shortly after . And with a repaint it'll look right.

Be sure to post pics!

We’ll said. The lineage aspect of the helmet, was my main reasoning in getting this helmet. The cast is super clean, witch compared to the Anovos, is second to none. Here’s a comparison video, of both Mando helmets (EFX/Anovos). P.S I’ll be sure to post my helmet, once I have it in hand and repainted;).

Just pre-ordered too...I was lucky enough to get a 1st version with no flaws and a fantastic finish...sooooooo...fingers crossed.
After looking at the EFX VS Anovos reviews, have to say the Anovos looks more correct, except for the paint material. Ended up ordering one from Nomad Props as well. His looked great, painted with Alumaluster, and heard nothing but great things. Guess I’ll end up with 3 different helmets lol. Suppose there’s worse things I could do.

Nomad’s is amazing - you’ll be happy. Still waiting on my other one from Jsin. From all the pics I’ve seen, his looks amazing as well. I’m sticking to these and passing on the production/licensed helmets. I haven’t seen anything from EFX or Anovos that can compare to vendors like AFX, Nomad, HDC, or Jsin.

Well, after waiting patiently Sideshow delivered. I was fortunate enough to be taken off the waiting list and order this piece after many people canceled their orders. I was skeptical since both the Season 1 and Season 2 Mandalorian Helmets had issues, which prompted many people to return or exchange their helmets.

My initial thought was that it was packaged pretty well. I know many people had issues with the helmet itself though. I suppose I got lucky because the visor has no cracks, the mandibles are aligned well, the Mohawk lines are straight, the ears don’t appear to be messed up, and overall the paint is pretty good. You can see two small smudges on the paint above the visor and on the right mandible there’s a weird paint effect that almost looks like a scratch but isn’t. On the left cheek there’s a barely noticeable overspray and an almost dripping effect where the top coat dried. You can only see these in a certain light. After taking photos and examining it in certain lights I’ve decided to just keep this one. Overall I’m extremely happy despite some of the paint issues. If I wasn’t on this thread I probably would have never had the awareness to notice the small issues - they’re that unnoticeable. I’ll consider an overall satisfaction rating of 8/10 a win! Now back to factory new conditions with my Master Replicas lightsabers until I one day have a Star Wars room!

Following up on my last post where I posted photos of the EFX Mandalorian S2 Helmet and my overall satisfaction, I found an area on top of the right visor that wasn't painted. It was a clear white line that they missed. Looking back, aside from that issue it was a near flawless helmet. I ended up returning it for another one, but in hindsight I should have kept the original. The second one I received wasn’t well painted. It almost seemed like a different mold because it was smaller. It looked literally black in comparison to the first helmet, the mandibles didn't line up, the visor lines were crooked, and the overall paint job looked different.
