Coloured liquid flowing through pipes for theatre prop

Hi guys,
So I'm trying to build a prop for a stage show that's a bit like a mad scientists machine. It's going to have pipes going in and out of a structure with coloured liquid flowing through the pipes. I'm trying to figure out how to build this, ideally there would be a pump that pushed the liquid around through the pipes continously (I've attached a simplified drawing of the general contraption). The pipes are 50mm diameter and clear acrylic. Also, it needs to run on battery power or solar panels as the show is taking place in a public square! Any help or info would be much appreciated. if its completely full, you wont even be able to tell that the liquid is moving, so unless you wanted bubbles going round as well you wouldn't need a pump.
if you want a pump system though, my best guess would be the kind of system you use in a water cooled pc?
