Slight variation... the two slits are rotated together, as a linked pair, to be parallel to the base line of the arcing chest line AND positioned horizontally, splitting the distance along the vertical plane of the vertical line that rises upward from the bottom right corner of the chestline.


I guess, they could be done either way... but to me, and looking at the screen caps, they do not appear to drop strait down, vertically, but are rotated together – and specific to the armor – to match the baseline of the base chest line. The bit I used was 1/16" for each corner... then I cut the line between the holes.


I made the template in July 2008 for the OSCS chest armor. I will post my template tomorrow... sleepy.


But I have a picture of the template taped to my chest armor.


AND, it looks more consistent... at least they are getting more similar looking.
