Do the two boards stay together for a helmet installation?

From these photos it looks like the bottom board should be removed, and the lower three slots covered with a piece of plastic. The photo of the interior seems to suggest a piece of the same tinted plexiglass used on the visor.

Yes, that was a lot of fun to have the silver buttons from the keypad bouncing all over the table when I first removed both boards! Luckily, I recovered them all.

The keypad sets lower than you think in the gauntlet. The bottom shouldn’t be removed if you want the keypad to have functionality.

I was able to properly put everything back together and only remove the green board with the chip. The keypad buttons again have their proper functionality.

Thanks! The chip will be installed in an upcoming helmet commission that will be detailed on the boards. I’ll save the keypad for a potential gauntlet build in the future.
