BOBF-ROTJ EE-3 Sling?

Does anyone know the reason why the ROTJ/BOBF EE-3 doesn't have a sling like the ESB blaster does?

The Webley they used to film ESB was not only loaned for filming it was a real flare gun. The flare gun has rings used for the sling and it most likely was already apart of the flare gun and not added by those working on the film.

The ROTJ/BOBF were all casted or created specifically for that film. It was no longer a "real" and functioning flare gun.
