This is my first post here, but have been a big fan of this site and the superb work posted here for a long time...the information and projects posted here are simply out of this world.
Please be gentle on this Boba Fett helmet of mine, it has a long and quite funny story behind it....first of all in no way this is in the level of perfection or originality of the Boba Fett helmets painting projects shown by fellow enthusiasts here at the forum, this is my "test canvas" if one can call it that way. This helmet is the terrible 1996 Don Post vinyl helmet...I know and have read here all it's problems and accuracys issues, but this was the only thing available at that time (1996) and it was given to me almost as a gift by a very goodd friend who used to work in a comic/Sci-Fi collectibles store.
I hope to save my pennys to buy one of those magnificent resin kits I see posted here and do a propper Boba Fett helmet...from visor to paint job. This was done freehand and by artist fine brush, no masking for the chipping effects or airbrush. I never finished the weathering or painting of this helmet...I mainly use it to see and test paints types and brands, tone of colors and application technick....so this is the reason for its ****** apperance. When I finaly find and be able to buy one of the good resin ones, it will be done quite diferently and with more care and attention to detail.
