I am in the middle of painting my ESb Fett armor and there is one thing that just doesn't seem right to me. Green #78 is a pretty light green, but all the images show it being used as the darker green weathering shading. here are some green samples I did and Green 78 just seems way too light...

What mix are you using for your back panels? I tried using the mix you described in your last thread and ended up with a greenish gray, rather than the blueish green like yours turned out. Super excited to see another helmet paint thread.

Ok, awesome that helps. I was just suprised at how tight the bottom of the backplate is against the bottom support bar. Did you have to bend the support bar on your harness, it looks like it, and I think i will need to on mine as well.

Does anyone have any pictures of how their back armor, harness and jet pack are situated? I have a MOW jet pack, a scuba harness kit, and RKDs armor. I can't seem to het anything to sit right. It seems the harness just wants to push the armor away from the body and the backplate doesn't like to...

ah thanks, I just ordered a 10 yard roll of masking for my plotter. I am cutting test pieces right now out of vinyl, just to see how it all will work. the problem I am running into is deciding what order the color layers should be done :) are you creating negatives to make stencils at all, or...

So I did some test painting today, using the latex masking. I have no doubt i will be able to get the armor accuratly painted but good lord the helmet is just ridiculous. Liquid masking is a giant pain for all the little detail work that has to be done. but I may have just found a much better...

MOW jetpack and cape arrived. The jetpack is a beast, that is gonna be a fun build. Is there a good tutorial for paint or assembly on the ESB jetpack anywhere? I haven't seen one.

indeed, I know all about ebays peril being in the 501st. I almost got burned by a helmet re-caster but caught it in time. I hesitated even getting what I did until I saw them here first (MOW and MLS). I got MOW's jetpack and MLS' EE3 kit.
