Well I started the Knee Armor yesterday. Here is what all I have done. Good to be working again.

5. Cut out Sintra
6. Glued Main portions to eachother

Most of your questions have been answered before. I would strongly suggest setting a budget, either for the whole suit or for each piece.

It is fine. I used primer. It took off either one or two layers with the tape I put on it. I will mask if off and some time and fix it. That was the first part of the helmet I did, I am pretty sure I got impatient between some of the coats.

Shameless bump of my thread, with nothing really to add. I am getting excited though. I should be starting again soon on my costume. I have been informed that my belt has not held up perfectly the past few months some of the glue gave up the ghost. I am going to be making a to do list, but...
I used a jump suit pattern and have a couple YouTube videos that are time lapses of me doing it. Also Arkady who makes fantastic flight suits has listed her pattern she uses (although she warns that it has been modified by her) hope that helps.

I would use Arkady's pattern she listed she is very good at making them. Make sure to check the close up pictures on the sleeves for the stitching patterns. I have a YouTube video or two where I made mine. I made the pants and top in two sections and put them together after
