Yup. love them as conversation pieces. Just a minor plus that they can be worn too. On top of the Fett, that base is exceptional.

so to be fair, they DO articulate. But the range of motion is more limited than I'd like. I'd say it can do what the ad shows, just not to my liking. If that makes sense. and Thanks! Also appreciate that decal on the bobf

I used a kit off Etsy honestly. They based their backplate off the screen used style fittings. The issue was with the 3d printed material being weak at those joints. I used a washer and bolt to reinforce it. I probably wouldn't go with that kit again, only because the chest peices were a bit off...

I've made a lot of little updates to this. The most recent of which are jetpack lights. It's the little things :)

I ended up using the standard Iwata QDs and filled the knurling on the female end with filler. It had ok results for what this outfit is. "semi accurate". the real issue is what keeps them attached to the gauntlet. Mine aren't 100% accurate so I couldn't fit a dowel of the proper diameter...

Any ideas as to what the black piece is above the Iwata QD?

I saw those. I've been looking at coax, pressure hose connectors, and various audio connectors trying to find an answer... Anybody currently taking orders for printed ones that you're aware of?

While waiting the three years for my Bobamaker ROTJ, I decided to make a Daimyo Fett. Some trials and tribulation with various 3d prop printers and soft goods via etsy (I know, not the cargo hold)... but I'm close to happy with it for what it is. I still need to figure out the hose...

got the cylinders and buckle, aloud me to put the overbelt together... still needs some paint and touch-up but I'm pleased so far. Lot cheaper than 3-$600...
