ehh. its not great...its so bendy! and warped! and the keyhole section on the back of the bucket is off about 1/4 or 1/2 of an inch offcenter! not sure what to do about that....but instead of b****in about it...im going to make this thing as amazing as possible :). there will be pictures no...
just thought i would ask. i have a 69 bug. its not running now, but im hoping it will be fairly soon. anyway. welcome to the forums and glad you got that name thing worked out. :)
i think starting with the bucket is a great way to go. i had some soft parts already but i really felt like i was getting things going when i got my bucket in the mail...i just had to keep myself from toting it around like a kid with a teddy bear :P
thank you again for the info on the rangefinder and the convention. lots of everything is good. wow. hmm. i will look into this. im definitely gonna make it out to something at some point lol
unfortunately i wont be able to make it to DragonCon. but i will be putting in that craft ring. i saw a few pics on how to do it. which method works best? and on a side note...ive never been to a Con... and this might be a dumb...but i dont really know much about them in general lol. how does...
flaws ive noticed:
1. flimsy
2. the shape is kind of off
3. rangefinder wont stay where i want (but i fixed that)
you will need:
1. padding (baseball helmet padding works) to keep it secure on your head. you could use the thing they put in military helmets too.
2. new visor
3. patience...
they...um...well...good isnt the word i would use...i was short on money so i went for it...its alright but im going to want a better one, preferably built by me. i guess it depends on how much work you wanna do to it. im a noob, so its alright for now lol.
thanks for the advice!
pics would be cool if its not a bother. i used the duct tape but i suspect that i might need a more permanent solution at some point. i just superglued the earpiece back on, but im not sure how thats gonna hold up.
