ASOK - Bill Warren Update - All Please read!

It is with deep sadness and heavy heart that I send my respect and well wishes to Bills friends and family. I too never had the opportunity to meet Bill in person, but through discussions with him here on other forums, I had a deep respect for him. I was contemplating upgrading the resin knee...

Jango72s scratch built jet pack progress thread ( from WoF templates )

To inspire and aid with direction was the original intention of this thread, and I'm glad to see that it is still aiding others in their builds. If you have any specific questions, you can ask away and I'll do my very best to answer them. :cheers

    My Budget Jango Build

Nice work so far, but as I already stated over on the RPF, try to keep your edges a bit more crisp. ;) Budget builds like yours are my favorite, so if you'd like any advice, tips or anything, you can drop me a PM either here or over on the RPF.

    Seeker's Jango Fett Upgrades 2011

I've always admired your suit Arturo, one of the best ones out there. I might be interested in upgradeing to one of your jetpack harnesses... if you wouldn't mind PMing me a price quote that is.

    Visor installation?

The template will indeed be your best method. Just make sure that you've got your visors front surface completely covered in masking tape to protect it. Do not remove the masking tape from your visor until after you've got the alignment holes drilled, and the visor is ready to be installed...

Jango/Galactic Marine/41st Elite Scout boots alternative

How are these for sizing? I know that some boots/shoes will fit on the large size, some on the small... I just want to know as I obviously won't be able to try them on, seeing as they are only available to me via mail-order. :facepalm

    Visor installation?

It could work. I used a two-part epoxy, and it's held up going on 5 years now.

    Visor installation?

If 1/4" is the shortest length chicago screw you can find, then yes. You'll have extra length, in relation to the thickness of the visor... which is why I used the plastic kitchen faucet washers. :D You'll actually find that the Don Post '95 helmet is on the small side, definitely smaller...

Should I produce a Jango boot? (Manofwarstudios)

I'm really hoping that Christian will do a run with the currently found soles. I'd buy two pairs in size 8, and possibly several more pairs for some mando bretheren... I'm currently working on a Mando movie script with a friend, so we'll need boots to outfit our seven mandos ( mine included )...

    Jango Gauntlet Blueprints

As far as I know... no. I don't beleive that a final definitive version for Jangos gauntlets has ever been completed.

Should I produce a Jango boot? (Manofwarstudios)

I'd be down for a pair in size 8 for sure!! :cheers

Jango72s scratch built jet pack progress thread ( from WoF templates )

The answer is both... I used a clear coat to sprayed on in thin coats to seal the cardboard and hardboard, then I layered the colors over top in thin coats. Once done, I then applied another thin coat of clear coat to protect the finish. :cheers

    My Jango Fett

Either color is considered canon for Jango. In the Bounty Hunter video game, his visor is green, thus the allowance for either color... especially seeing as the dark green appears black when the helmet is being worn.

    Looking for jango Fett boots....

I'm with TLobe00 on this... I've been searching for a truly accurate pair for over three years now. I've got a pair of the now discontinued GBXs, which are close, but I'm still scouring for a nice pair of size 8 Bed Stus, Kenneth Coles or Pradas. Finding the proper boots is the "Grail...

    Scratchbuilt Jango

I tried the rub-n-buff over a silver under-coat, but it didn't turn out as nice as I would've liked. Instead, I used a flat black under-coat, then applied the ru-n-buff over that. I got a much nicer and shinier finish out of the rub-n-buff. Just some food for thought from a fellow...
