Judging from that photo it seems like the topper must have had a very shallow "slot" for that stalk which must have needed the assistance of some glue and that glue must have let go, it seems like its kinda just balancing on the stalk and the helmet itself in that pic. lol this helmet always...

it wouldnt hurt to do so alot of those mass produced things have a finish to them that isnt very accepting of new paint i would personally recomend going over it lightly with something like 320 grit sand paper and priming it before you get started

how do you mean? The fiberglass helmets available here on tdh or even the resin ones are nothing short of impressive in terms of construction... i could probably stand on a gelcoat helmet from some of the makers here without it breaking(not that i would try lol) but better than a rubies or...

Aghh i was so excited i just got one but its the "patended" one! Aghhh!!! i guess the hunt continues! ... now i just need to figure out where to cut this one (the type 3)
