As one of the few “Infamous” ROTJ Fetts still around, I’d like to assure you that the BHG — regardless of how your 501st garrison judges it — will expect to see that “tinge of blue” in the flight suit… it was indeed the ESB suit faded in the years between movies.

That harness looks close to the original, mine is similar and works fine. You’ll need to hunt up a diver’s belt buckle for the front to replace the one there.

The trouble with this plan is that the barrel is not a set diameter, it gets smaller toward the tip end… the actual sleeve if you make one is nearly paper-thin at the gun-end. I made a mold from a resin rifle, then used the actual mk1 to fill the center when casting in the mold with a liquid...

Yes, your right, it should be in alignment (mostly) with the lower part. I had this same issue on my helmet, although it was a center line problem rather than that and the tilt you have visible in your last shot. Some of the center line variation IS present in the production helmets (I know...

Looks very similar to the FlexiFreeze vest (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001P30358) I have for my Vader suit -- overheating is a real problem with all that leather and wool compared to Fett. Works great, making +2 hour troops a breeze!
