the painted armor is actually porous enough to apply the charcoal dry. I did have to work it in a bit, but it works! I did get basic approval and have been trooping...just working on some mods to submit for Infamous now.

Jetpack has arrived and got some much needed help from Mike Halstead on getting it fitted! I’ve also made adjustments to the armor, so it’s all secure and placed better now. Shin tools are also in...just need to attach the braids. Planning on submitting pics for approval this weekend!

Thank you! I’ve switched most of the armor to using the original screw and grommet method. I found it to be very secure. I tried the 20x3mm rare earth magnets at first and hot glued them on the inside of the vest. I found they kept sticking to each other within the vest, whenever I removed...

Suiting up test... I didn’t get a chance to attach the wookie braids and shin tools, but here’s most of it. Jet pack comes in this week! I need to adjust a few things like the center diamond and cape. Hoping to submit photos next weekend.

I don't know for sure, but I believe so. The material had the same give when I was weathering it with the hobby knife. If it means anything, I got it from an RS Props kit that was being parted out.

Got some weathering done...flight suit and spats. Need to do the hip pouches next. Started with blue mixed with a tiny bit of charcoal and did the shoulders, under the short sleeves and flaps on the thigh pockets. Added the burnt umber and straw highlights. Added charcoal next...

More weathering...puss and boots, I mean gloves and boots. Picked up the acrylics and followed the thread on weathering CA boots. Finished the gloves too.

Oh that's good, that'll help give the armor some good life. Wow Disneyland will be a nice break! I was there in July and spent the whole day in galaxys edge lol. Yeah I'm real close to finishing up. Just weathering up some parts and putting a few things together. I know it'll be ever...

It was leftover ABS that I had from my TK...looks like it’s about 2mm thick. Seems to have helped a lot and the knees feel pretty solid now. I might do the same to parts of my armor. Taking the return edge down to make the armor thinner, makes some parts (like the collar) feel flimsy. Not...

If you ask the worker at the craft store, they can point to what works. Alot of the products are similar. Lol yeah I have some minor work to do on everything...can't say that I've fully finished any one part. Thanks and good luck on your build!

I got this from a local craft store (craft warehouse). I just grounded a stick down to a powder and applied it on with a sponge. I actually haven’t painted that part yet, so it’s still just the white plastic. I was planning to use the same silver as what was used on the first coat of the armor.

Things have been slow lately...waiting on the M5 screws to arrive, for attaching the armor and bleaching the flightsuit to lighten it up. Finished some small details and fixes. Added velcro to the knees and ABS plastic to beef up the thin parts. Took down the return edges on the armor...
