Will it work on the polyester though? I've used some other dye product twice before with no results, it wasn't Rit though. Also will it dye in the washing machine? As for your offer, it sounds great! I'll let you know when I start working on it again.

Oh that and I found a nice store where they sell cotton fabric in just the right color. So no need to dye, but I'll be sure to ask her.

My dad gave me a good idea, ask my aunt, she knows her way around a needle and thread, I hope she wants to!

Well, the dyeing did absolutely nothing, time to go look for fabric and learn to sew!

Okay I found a nice thread on the mando mercs, they have the same suit, and they say to put fabric softener wipes and wash the suit with them so they remove the flame retardant coating cause it may make it difficult to accept the dye, but I guess with the bleach + I washed it with softener and...

Well after like an hour and a tad of letting it sit in bleach , I think it may have gone a tad lighter ? Maybe not its hard to tell. I just hope the dye actually works. edit: the bleach is pretty old though.

After checking with google and some of my own clothing, I can say its made of cotton ( twill ? ), its basicly this thing except a different color

Sadly there is no tag saying what type of material it is or any of that info, the only tag that it does have are several maintenance instructions like " use beewax on the zippers" "do not use bleach as it will diminish the fire resitance" and the washing is basicly saying to wash with mild soap...

So now onto the armor I guess, but I do know in the future, I will be buying a helmet kit from the pros, makign the pepakura was fun, and a very good experience, but I'm pretty sure i far exceeded the costs of buying a kit :lol:

haha, found a way to fix it, had to sadly dril la hole into the helmet but i camouflaged it pretty well so you can't see the bolt, so..heres a pic of me wearing it while posing with vader and a trooper :D
