New here, from San Antonio

I am looking forward to doing a Boba Fett project. Short story long, I wanted to do Darth Vader a couple of years ago. My wife wanted to do Ghostbusters for the 30th anniversary. I thought I would save a few dollars doing that, but ended up spending a bunch of money. It was a fun project, though, and I learned a lot from it.

Fast forward to this year. I am wanting to build a costume for Halloween 2017 (and beyond). I thought about Darth Vader again, but decided Boba Fett is a lot cooler. I remember having the Boba Fett trading when I was a kid when ESB came out. I am really pumped about this. I am starting to get together cost estimates because I want to do it right, and it looks like it will be expensive. Thanks for providing a great knowledge base for OCD types!

Welcome! Happy to see you made the right choice! Have you decided if you'll stick with the image of Fett from childhood and go with ESB Fett, or perhaps another type of Fett? Looking forward to seeing your progress!

Fett is the coolest kit to troop no doubt. There is plenty of expense to get it right but it is worth the money.

I am thinking ESB. ROTJ has a lot more color, but the ESB version will always be the original to me. I remember talking about the color change on the flight suit when I was a kid. I think they even changed it on the action figure.

I was also into James Bond as a kid and all of the gadgets are just cool. The key to Darth Vader is the light saber... and that is the biggest problem. They will never make a correct light saber. You can buy an authentic hilt, but not the saber. With Boba Fett, you can make everything dead on. The difficulty level is through the roof, but that makes it fun and interesting.
