Hey everyone, I just wanted to take a minute to say thank you. Last week I posted a story about my brother and asked our community for help. If you haven't seen it basically, my brother has become disabled from the waist down. He developed a condition called Complex Regional Pain Syndrome and Severe Peripheral Neuropathy. So the nerve endings and pain sensors from his legs to his brain no longer shut off, so he is in pain 24/7, and his condition has no cure. His doctors are able to control some of it with medication, but he's still in pain all the time. He used to be in the Air Force, and was a Martial Arts instructor for 10 years, so this is absolutely devastating for him. To make matters worse, he could no longer work, and had to go on Social Security disability which with a wife and 4 kids isn't really anything at all. He had to start selling off his entire Star Wars collection to pay for the mounting medical bills. I asked our fellow community members/collectors if they possibly had any extra, duplicate, or unwanted figures they might be willing to send him to not only help lift his spirits and remind him he still has friends, but it would also give him something back so he could play with his kids again. And a few of our fellow members stepped up right away and are sending him something. So to TK50175, cantdrive55, Zon, mainst69, and tommyboy, thank you from the bottom of my heart. It really means the world to me that we have such a great community with amazing members, and I know it truly will brighten his day!
