This is currently at the O2 and I went today. It's awesome and you should definitely check it out if you're within spitting distance of where it's housed. It's at the O2 until September before it moves on so if you're in the Southeast then there really is no excuse. I reckon it should take about 2 hours or so if you listened to every recording, watched every film, pressed every button, as well as the create your own identity gimmick (it's for kids) then that's about right. That's hardly a full day but by the time you've had lunch and been delayed on whichever form of public transport you chose most of the day will be gone; you could walk over the Millennium Dome if you're spoiled for time.
It's been a long time since the Barbican exhibition and I wasn't really paying attention back then but even so you notice details in person it just isn't possible to understand from photos despite the fact there are some great ones out there. The studio scale section is amazing. Amazing; that Star Destroyer is HUGE.
The Fett suit is the Jedi version and because it's behind glass you're pretty close to it, not so Vader who's over ten feet away but it's still cool. I spent over an hour with the Fett man even though the Jedi version is nowhere near my favourite. The lighting isn't great for photography but there probably isn't much we haven't seen before.
Prequel stuff there too. Enough said.
I will go more than once.
