Neck armor piece

Mic Pro

I just shaped my neck piece as per the armor templates. When I place it on my chest and move my arms up to about parallel to the floor, the piece gets pulled up off the vest by my shoulder muscle and also digs into my throat.

I sanded it down so that I got more mobility out of my arms and less choking too, but now the piece is not movie accurate.

My question is: how does everyone cope with this problem? Do I suck it up and not lift my arms or is there some sort of way to cheat this? Really all I'm worried about is the armor tearing loose if I move my arms too high.

thanks!

once you're in costume, there's not really much reason for you to be lifting both of your arms up. i've never noticed my neck plate digging into my throat, maybe if i did lift my arms over my head it would. a few pics of you in the armor in a neutral pose then in the pose that demonstrates the problem would help us diagnose the issue.

OK, once I get the piece attached to the vest I'll post it. Please don't judge the poor, inaccurate reshaping! I'm all about comfort, and I needed to tweak this piece for my own sake.

I'll be doing lots of work on Sunday so hopefully I'll get my pieces on and I can take some photos.

Comfort in armor is a oxy-moron...
