ESB Humbrol base armor color???

Hello Everyone,

I am a bit confused on what Green Humbrol color to apply for the main base color on my ESB armor.

I have read that 76 is what should be used. I applied that and it seems to dark to me.

I have read 117 is more accurate.

I have also read 78 + 76 1:1 is very close.

Can someone assist me with the correct color to apply for the base armor?

I see the 78 & 76 Color combo for my base color. It looks pretty good to me, personally.

Thanks This is actually Fletch1138's armor i am painting for him

As to how much was a touch...ehhh....it was like 1 quick little pour..maybe equivalent to 2-3 drops or so, if i had to give some sort of measurement.

you can ask...but i actually have to check. Ive went through a few different ones cuz i wasnt 100% happy with them lol.

LOL... I see people using 3 different Humbrol colors for the Diamond and the Base Armor... very confusing... LOL

I am going to do the 78+76 paint... I think that looks the best.

Dang Lou! That paint job looks spot on! I'm going to give that a shot as well! Keep us posted Ordin! ;D Any advice on the grime on the right chest plate? I always have trouble with that. I end up just painting on and smearing a darker gray... I'd love to get that down though, it bugs me XD

haha thanks man. What grime exactly? The little dark splotches?, or the over-all grey?


Ordin...i used Humbrol #76 +Floquil CNW Green (1:1) for the center diamond.

On the lower left area of the right chest piece, and Rafal's temps really showcase it, there's that bit of smeared or scratched gray grime of sorts. I'll put an attachment if I can get one unless you can decrypt that XD
