New Hunter
I have amazingly stumbled across how to make a FULLY FUNCTIONING Fett set up.
Heres what i plan on setting up, (fully working mind you...)
1) Left Gaunt Flamethrower (i discovered the MAIN safety factor)
2) Right Gaunt Rocket Launcher (Remote activated projectile)
3) Saber Dart Shooter (Air Pressure mini cannon)
4) Jet Pack Missile launcher (Surprisingly the most simple)
5) Range Finder w/ hidden laser sight (Just for fun...)
I have gone thru and looked at past threads and seem how many ppl laugh and simply dismiss the subject. And others who see these ppl as suicidal freak fans, but that is not the case here. I have THANKFULLY had the chances to talk with and do a lil work with some REAL hollywood Special FX departments. Also i worked at a haunted house this most current October and learned MANY new fire safety tactics, along with prop building. I plan on first working on the Gaunt Rocket Launcher. I figured out how to make this work thru my past work on home movies w/ SQUIBS. (they r the lil exploding blood packets on ppl) I figured if you replace the mini explosive of the squib, a firecracker, with a firework projectile, say a modified bottle rocket, it would case it to work perfectly! Now, im gone thru and seem that the ADMINS of TDH dont want these dangerous projects described or layed out in detail, so ill keep key components secret, and be kinda vague about the tech set up. So, the IGNITER i use for both the squib and the launcher cause the explosion or ignition to happen instantly with the press of a button. For the flamethrower, I plan on using the same frame as the ROTJ Gaunts, HOWEVER, my newest plan makes using it much safer, but less movie accurate. The nozzle of the thrower is extendable, and sticks out 1, to 2 feet, so that it is safely away from you. I also plan on putting the liquid for the thrower in the Jet Pack, making the side hoses to the gaunt more accurate. Once the nozzle is out, a swinging lever in the Gaunt controls the flow of fire. As for the Saber Dart, it is still in idea form. Iv seen a C02 powered dart pistol at a Sports Chalet a few weeks ago, and iv built and re built MANY paintball and airsoft guns so i will still have to work this one out.
The laser in the range finder should be easy enough. The WORKING missile in the jet pack will be fun! The main base of the Jet Pack is a large aluminum "can" to keep the Missile launching contained. The bottom of the pack where there is a VENT will be functional in the way of releasing the bottom force of the takeoff and smoke. My basic plan is to use a model rocket for the missile. I plan on going to my nearest hobby shop, MARTYS HOBBYS Thousand Oaks, to ask about shaping it to the top of the missile. Once all hooked up, it will be button activated on the gauntlets, idk which one yet, and as for the "fins" on the model rocket, i plan on using a rail guiding system inside so it sides in smooth and shoots out strait. NOW FOR THE MONENT YOU'VE AL BEEN WAITING FOR!!! HOW AM I GONNA DO ALL THIS WITHOUT BLOWING UP?!?!?!?!?!?!?! Thankfully, while working at this past October, i discovered the AMAZING invention called FIRE RETARDANT! I found 2 different kinds, one made for fabrics, and one for solid objects. So those 2 should keep me mostly safe, i hope...
Ill b sure to update as i progress on these projects as much as i can. and i cant wait for it all to be done and post up a video showing all of these working parts!
