This is for the large majority of members (such as myself) who love to spend money on their SW collectibles/props/treasure, despite their current financial situations.
I think its kind of funny trying to have to sort of "justify" it by making up some semi-logical excuse other then "you just wanted it," spending about 500 bucks on some prop or toy even.
For example, my very first excuse to sway my parents from this, is after I bought a helmet kit, my parents *thought* it was somewhat of a waste of money..so I simply replied,
"well, I know this buddy of mine, sits at the back of the school bus, selling weed or I think crack? Dosnt matter, Im sure I have enough cash for whatever he's selling... "
Got the most aggrivated look from them after that :angry, but since, they havent really questioned it...that is until I decide to get something pricey. I admit, I can be somewhat of a compulsive buyer if the opportunity arrises.
Im interested to learn what other's have to say in their defense for such transactions, big or small. Im running out and need to learn a few more lol
Just wanted to add what my gf tells me all the time.."if we ever get married, we're going to live in a rinky-dink wood shack, surrounded by star wars toys the rest of our lives and no food.."
