Ok, the second pull was much more successful. I temporarily attached all of the aluminum hardware to see what it looked like. It goes on my head easily and is just a tad more snug than my 'zilla mask. Now I'll move on to the various leather pieces. The last pic is next to my favorite mask.
Impressive! I like very much.......... Hey I have some work for you (LOL) Sure you not the prop maker for the StarWars Movies ? That looks too Good not to be made by a Pro.
Can't wait to see the rest.
Ordered a yard of heavyweight/upolstery white denim fabric from ebay and it arrived sometime last week. Last night I dyed it using one package of Rit tan and one package of pearl grey in a washing machine at the medium water setting. It turned out a very good color match for the mask in the EP4 visual dictionary. Once I finish the three remaining leather parts, I'll begin cutting the bandages and applying them. Here are a few more progress pics as of tonight. The dark brown hide is .6-.8oz. lambskin from ebay. The mouth leather is 6-7oz. tooling leather stained brown.
Ok, a few more pics. It's pretty much finished other than glueing screen behind the eyes and mouth areas, and rigging up the fan at the top. I also forgot to mention I hollowed out the 'Zilla nose to decrease some of the weight. It's not perfect but it's better than what I had, so I'm satisfied. Thanks for the interest and feedback along the way. Last pic is next to my favorite 'Zilla mask.
