My scratchbuilt rocketpack thus far...
Hey guys, I shot some photos of my scratchbuilt jet pack to see what you all thought. It's been sitting in this stage for about two years now, maybe longer - life got busy and I am only now getting back to it. I made my own templates and assembly drawings and I'm pretty pleased with the result so far - I just wish it wasn't so heavy! I did it fairly cheaply too, less than $25 so far - that's my wife's favorite part about it.

Materials used:
- 3mm Sintra
- 3 sizes of PVC pipe (there's some smaller diameter pipe connecting the three main cylinders to serve as an attachment point for the harness - I didn't trust it to pull on just the sintra)
- Posterboard (that's the green)
- Paintable Silicon adhesive caulking for vinyl - that was before I knew of shoe goo and Weld-On
- Blood, sweat and tears...and more blood just for good measure.
