Question on Neck Seal

Looking at the 501st CRL, is the neck seal sewn directly on the flght suit or is it suppose to be a separate piece?

Little confused since the CRL describes the neck seal and shows a picture of it but then the flight suit picture looks like the neck seal is connected.

As I stated on thebhg.net it can be either. It's a matter of convenience. I run wires up under my neck seal to my helmet so I don't have mine attached.

What matters is that is matches reference photos for the version you're building. My neckseal is not attached to anything. In my experience it's long enough that it doesn't matter. Mine's homemade if that matters.

It is sewn to the flight suit on the real costumes.
