Old Member returning, looking for help starting a new set of armor!

Hello all,

I'm Evan, I'm an active duty Marine in the DC area, looking to restart an old hobby. I used to be apart of this forum back in the 2007 timeframe, but now I am looking to cosplay again. See attached for my old cosplay

Things have changed so much and there is so much nice new stuff out idk where to start! I would love to hear anyone's opinions on starting a Mandolorian themed cosplay as far as where to buy what or how to make what. My last Mandolorian costume I modified an old Jango Rubies helmet, made armor out of sheet metal and adhered it using buttons so Im curious to know what is the latest and greatest lol.
