Picked up my 4-day pass as well. Booked at the Hyatt Regency right in front of the convention center for all days but Thursday (they were all booked up for that day). Gotta find a hotel for Thursday now. Can't wait to spend some time with some great people down there in Florida.
So for those of you that have been at SWC before, just how bad are the lines for panels without the VIP tickets? What sort of time are you looking at for waiting in line?
I've just been to the one last year. I'd say it's better than San Diego Comic Con lines, but still lengthy. You do have to plan ahead and there's a great app to keep you organized.
I was able to get in to see Ian McDiarmid fairly quickly, and stayed to see Mark Hamill. I think it all really depends on on what it is.
I waited in line for 4 hours to ride around in an X-Wing for 15 seconds so I could do this:
The line for the preview of Battlefront itself was even longer.
Jeremy Bulloch's autograph line was pretty lax, but my brother had to put his name down on a list to get Mark Hamill's autograph, and he didn't get called back until the last day of the convention to stand in line for several hours.
I've got my Tix and will be making the long Journey (even longer than last time!). A TDH booth would be pretty sweet but either way i'd love to catch up with as many Fett-heads as possible.
Who is planning on traveling with their Fett getup?
I've made the determination that I will not be bringing mine because I'll be flying, and it's just too much to pack and make sure it makes it there safely, unfortunately.
I brought mine last year. This Pelican case Fits all my hardparts (including Jetpack) and half a suitcase fits all the soft stuff. Though I don't travel with my EE-3 I had no trouble getting the gear from OZ to Anaheim last year.
