    Hey,

I have a big niggin' too mate. I sympathise with ya. The lid fits me just fine as it is now with room for padding too but it won't be as thick as it is now after being molded and cast.

Gorgeous work... I am actually just getting back into costuming, and episode 15 of TCW is what inspired me. It is nice to see somebody else having such stunning success with the design.

    Thanks very much Count'.

Ok, the helmet is now in the hands of Mojo-Fett. He got it yesterday ready for moulding the lid. Also, he very kindly turned an aerator for this lid on a lathe! The aerator isn't the same as a TK or the clones we see in EpIII. The idea is to use this one master part to mould and cast resin copies to include with the kit.

Hope it looks good to you guys, I think he nailed it myself. Thanks Gav!!

    Hi,

I'm afraid the Snow Clone template was created just for this build. As far as I know, no-one else has made one.

    Thanks Gav.

What he said mate. Gav's been busy with a few projects around here so has had to work on a queue system to stay on top of things. The good news is the Snow Clone lid is now under silicone!!!! Won't be long now guys. I'll be starting the official interest thread in the morning.

Thanks for posting brother! I was starting to think that interest in this had evaporated.

Ok, as I mentioned earlier in the thread, my good friend Mojo-Fett is mking the moulds for me as well as handling the casting. Well as some may know, Gav(Mojo) has been a very busy boy lately. Just look for his recent threads.

Upon saying thaty he has finished the mould for the dome now. The faceplate was done but had a run in with a very curious little girl so needs redoing.

I'm really sorry for keeping anyone still wanting one of these but it is a priority to me to get them done and out ASAP.

    Ok guys,

Sorry for the lack of real updates here but I have some pics now of the moulds being made! The mould for the dome should be finished tonight with the face plate mould not far behind it!!

I'll be continuing this thread with a build up of the kit with a Rex paint scheme too.

Here are the pics of the moulding process from lastnight! Massive thanks to Gav(Mojo-Fett) for helping me with this stage!!

    Ok guys,

Another piccy update of the mould making process for this. The mothermould is now done, finished and in the hands of the casting guy!!! Hopefully we've had a prototype cast over the weekend. We'll find out in a few hours I imagine.
The silicone mould is all finished for the faceplate and just needs the mother mould to be done which Gav says will be done today.
Then we need to redo the aerators as the first prototype was a tad too small.

The finish line is in sight!!!!

    Hey guys,

    Got some pics!!

We now have our first dome! I'll post pics of the raw cast and some of the same dome cleaned up, trimmed and primered.

The face is very near ready for casting too so we'll have new pics of that very soon.

Now we just need to mould and cast the three strips for the mouth, and make a new master aerator as the first prototype was a tad too small. Once we have the new one ready, we can mould and cast that and we're good to go!!!

Please guys, feel free to comment.
