I found some 'Bossk' arms and feet on epay, just looked at them.
Are those type acceptable to costuming standards? I've read a lot here and on 501st about standards. I don't mind doing a lot of work but would hate to plunk down $ for something and miss the mark (e.g. the claws are thinner on those but I could work on that). I'm also interested in accuracy and would want to portray the character correctly as me resources allow.
One thing that worries me about about latex feet is (besides sweatiness ;-) the durability. Walking on pavenent, or even in a convention hall has got to abrade them. What can be done with costume feet to make them more durable? For some costumes a pair of shoes or boots can be covered with prop material but it won't work well for the Trandoshan because they have big feet to begin with and then the claws.
I'm also trying to understand the arms. His arms are long in the films but shorter in the animated series. -almost to the knees in the film. question is - are the arms and hands of BH-4517's costume hollow to the ends of the fingers so that the fingers can be used?
Sorry for all the questions, the Trandoshan's an interesting creature and would be a good character for me. I like the long arms because that's what the films show, and BH-4517's photobucket images show them, its very realistic. To me it looks like the arms can be put on part way to give a long (correct?) appearance, or pulled up further to make good use of the hands for gripping the rifle, etc.
