Hello from TX..

Fettsvette

New Hunter
Well, I have been a lurker around here for so long when I went to log in, I cannot remember the email I used years ago to register, so I am registered again.

I built my first boba helmet in 1997 while in college with the wonky but lovable don post copy. I then found this site 4-5 years later and completely re-did the helmet and then ordered a better one....and half a dozen helmets and various armor suits later, I have come full circle. At this years comic con here, my 4 year old son would not leave the Mando Mercs and poor 501st guys alone, and he loves blue, and Jango Fett, so Jango it is. This is the only place I trust to pick the brains of the ones that have gone before and do this thing up right. I am pretty much starting from scratch, not like I could use much of my Boba stuff anyway (other than ROTJ jetpack)...pretty much uncharted territory for me. Im looking forward to painting or lack of painting for once. :D

Guess I should have said this many years ago, TDH is without equal when it comes to builders, creators and the community.

I will be sure to post a WIP to get help with what I am messing up on the new blue guy.

Welcome.

If you have seen Jango Fett in the Dallas areas it is a good chance it was me. I am with the Mando Mercs and the 501st. Feel free to ask questions as they come up. We here at TDH like to help.

Working on two other boba paint UPS while I start sourcing the other parts. Will def hit you up for the questions that I'm sure are coming.

Welcome kids are a great reason to dive into a project like this. Gives us all the excuse to build one or more for ourselves while we are at it. Not to mention a good cover fire story for the wife lol Good luck and looking forward to seeing your work

You are 100% RIGHT! Kids provide a great reason to jump back in. I have dressed up as a different character every year for my sons birthday (He thinks its awesome now...wait until I still do it when he's 16 :devil ) he wanted Jango this year, which wont happen, but it helps sell the new project for sure. I look forward to the comments and direction once I get going. I have to be honest, I won't know what to do with myself with just metal non painted armor and helmet for once.

Kids are great aren't they? Although keeping up with what they want can be tough especially with the time frames related to these kind of projects. I'm working on my first mando bucket and already my son is reeling off a whole list of other buckets he wants plus heard him bragging to his friends about all the outfits he thinks he is going to have. No pressure huh? Lol

Rich, it sounds like you need one set of armor that will work with a bunch of different buckets...and lots of wall space. LOL

I seriously need one of these cells...but I don't think it would work for punishment, from the picture you can tell he is not overly concerned about getting out (especially since the bounty hunters are the "good guys" in his estimation)
