    Not bad, but Im curious as to what you used for the plates. You could have used the trash can method.

    I'd say judging from the first and last pics that it is probably sintra.

    One thing you need to do though is prime it before painting. I'd also recommend spray painting or airbrushing over painting by brush. You'll also find it easier to heat and bend the sintra to shape BEFORE painting, that way you don't damage your paint job with bubbling and melting.

    Did you freehand or use any sort of template? When it comes to painting, I would recommend that you sand it with a medium grit, then a high grit, then prime it. After that, you could then use spraypaints or airbrush. Also, I would recommend that you heat and form the material before you paint.

    As Orthar and GCNgamer both said, form the armor before you paint it. You will thank us for telling you this =) If you use spray paint, your local auto supply store should have plastic spray handles that you can snap on the top of the cans. This will give you a more even spray.
