Thanks Seeker, I really appreciate it. The knees are a pain in the butt to feed through the flight suit for me. I don't know how it is for everyone else.
I've got snaps on the sides of my knees to attach them to the flightsuit. I leave them attached so I only have to do up the straps at the back of my knees.
Helps to keep them from shifting around too much as well.
I've been working on these knees for hours trying to attach them to the flight suit and I can't seem to get it right. I must have like 8 slits around the knees and still having issues with feeding the elastic thru the slit and out the other side. Does anybody else find this particularly difficult?
i went to art supply store and got Montana Metallic Copper which looks like a pretty decent match. I went to home depot to see if i could find some black plastic buckles for the hoses but no dice. I did however get around to dyeing the hoses and they look great!
Great news everyone!!! I FINISHED!!!!! well, almost. I still have to attach the hoses under the sleeve and attach the rocket to the gauntlet, but other than that I'M DONE!!!! WAHOOOO!!!! It's been over a year in the making and it feels SO good to see it come to an end.
It was incredibly gratifying to finally put everything on and see it all together in the mirror. I owe so much thanks to everyone here at TDH for your support, help and guidance. You are all an amazing group of people. There are too many to thank personally but I definitely want to say a special thank you to BKBT, CRUZER, SEEKER, JANGO 5204, ASOK, JANGO72, JDFETT, FOXBATKILLR, CAPTJONO, JIMMYBUFFETT and whoever else I might have forgotten to mention. Also want to thank my wonderful girlfriend Tiffany (the pink mando) for putting up with me working on this thing for so so long and helping me when i needed another set of hands. Also for keeping me sane!
This was a trial run so I'm sure there are a couple things that will need tweaking after my first troop at the NY Comic Con coming up this Saturday. I think i am definitely going to need to upgrade my gauntlets and jumpsuit first. But until then, Here are some pics! :cheers:cheers:cheers
Very cool! It's nice when it finally all comes together isn't it? It's been a long road for you and this whole thread really gives people an idea of how much time, money, and sweat goes into creating a great looking, accurate suit. I just have to dye my jumpsuit this weekend and I should be just about there. Always tweeking though.
Awesome Phil. That a fine Jango Fett you got there. Seeing this is getting me excited to when I get mine complete. Hope you still gonna remain on the boards.
BTW how tall are you? Hope you have a nice troop at the convention. I noticed ya right gaunt was coming loose, hope it don't fall off during ya troop. You might want to pull ya flightsuit down a bit too. I have this problem with the flightsuit when I put stuff on.
Excellent Jango Fett. Hope to see pics of your Jango in action.
Now get Tiffany's done lol
