OK...so I'm closing in on finishing up my son's Jango Fett....please tell what you think...I'm just finishing up the details and will be building a stubby jet pack today
Helmet: ONE END--- this helmet was a love hate relationship. I sanded literally about 2 hours worth. Especially the dome. I really liked this helmet because of its size. I used SEEKERs color scheme (scroll down in thread). I used a metallic paint for the silver instead of the rub in buff and the two blues (ocean & royal). The lines are pin stripes I got from an automotive store. The visor was a RJ Safety visor I cut out to size. I hot glued the visor , but left a few gaps for ventilation. I attached the rangefinder with a bolt, free spinning washer, and an acorn nut to top it off in the inside (check pic). I lined the top with a pad from a helmet used when riding his bike (helmet did not fit so i gutted the foam)...For the sides I used a knee pad that I bought off E-Bay that Stormtroopers use for their helmets. It Fits nice and snug on his head and he can see through the top of the visor without having to life the helmet. Thanks One End for a great helmet.
ARMOR: TK2280--Rob made my life easier and saved me a lot of time. His armor was pretty spot on in size. All I did was paint it with a Rust-Oleum Metallic Spray.
Girth Belt: (Rubies kid Jango costume). Quick and easy...and looks good...way better than trying to make your own
Blasters: Rubies kit came with holster and 2 blasters. it also has the attachment for the crotch area. I'm going to spray paint to look like real leather.
Boots: Champs snow boots ($25)...
Gloves: (batting gloves)
Gauntlets: Cruzer (these are so sick..makes we want to build a Jango). What can I say the pics do not do it justice. These things are just a mini version of what Cruzer produces for adults. All of the hardware was included with these little bad boys (buttons, hoses, switches, LED light). They were primed and ready for Paint..The missile was the icing on the cake. A professional prop maker IMHO.
Flight suit & Vest:Lady Sew for Us--I had bought this suit and vest back in April. Deb made it long enough for room to grow. Boy-o-boy did he grow in the past 6 months..I had to pull the hems out of the legs and arms...the suit fits him perfectly (not going to be able to wear next year). The flight suit is spot on and the vest is high quality. I velcro'ed the armor and added snaps for added support.
Any suggestions or ideas for a jetpack (materiel to use) etc...thanks TDH members for all our help
