I think it came out brilliant!!! Is it straight up paint or R&B? What colors did you end up using?

that's all rub'n'buff, the dark blue is rustoleum american accents midnight blue, and the lighter blue is rustoleum satin lake blue. then to tone it down, i misted the entire thing with some fast drying black, i think it was the walmart brand colorplace. then the weathering was done with apple barrel acrylic craft paints. the carbon scoring/grease is just black acrylic applied with my thumb and forefinger then gently wiped with a damp microfiber cloth. and the built up dirt in the edges is burnt umber thinned rubbing alcohol then applied with an old tooth brush allowed to dry a bit, then i wiped all the excess off with the microfiber cloth leaving just what settled into the nooks and crannies.

Do you have the same midnight blue on the cones and thrusters, and the little knobbies on each side as you do on the body. They defininly look like a brighter blue than the body does.................which is what I am going for to try and best match the LEXPRO pics.

I think you did an excellent job of replicating the gallery pics btw.

    Re: eagc's jango stubby jetpack

it's the same blue on everything. i think the way they're shaped makes them catch the light weird and then makes them look a different shade. also, they're not in direct light, since it was an overcast day when i took the pics.

i think i came up with a good name for the side knobs when i was describing them to eagc. i called them "frankenstein bolts." it describes them better than anything else i can think of. what do you think, could that become the "thing" to call them?

Yeah that sounds good to me. I would know what you are talking about if you said the "Frankenstien bolts" on an arena pack. Sounds a ton better than little knobbies.

    Re: eagc's jango stubby jetpack

les, if you're looking for a jetpack then may i suggest you contact manofwar here on the boards. he's the one that made this particular pack, and if you'd like it painted, as you can see i'm pretty capable of making them look awesome. pm me for more information if you're interested.

oh, speaking of MoW, i want to give a big shout out to him for this pack. it's a great sculpt and cast, very easy to work with, minimal prep needed. though i have a tendency to make a bit more prep than necessary. but it's an awesome pack, and i HIGHLY recommend it.
