Sideshow Premium Format ESB Boba Fett

hahaha i wish i could do a tiny stencil, but thats no possible same as doing tiny decals. The waterslide are your best option. I have a little experience with those as i did some for the bikerscout helmet. But they guy i had doing them couldnt get the grey correct and i eventually gave up on them. There is white waterslide decal paper you can used, ony thing is youd have to cut them right to the design with an x-acto, but that may work the best if what you have doesnt work out.

had to ask, love your stencils [emoji8]

i think the best course of action is to just paint the white container, then lay the the skull over it. seems easy enough [emoji854] lol i had to paint the back of the JP decal i used, came out as expected and did the trick just fine.

hopefully im as lucky with the detail correction that pretty much sparked this entire project. i almost forgot to mention, superjedi made a more than valiant effort to correct it as seen in the pics of the left shoulder before i filled the i correct dents. in the end, my perfectionistic disposition won out and i decided to cheat with the decal. doesn't mean i love you any less Eric!

small update but probably the one I'm most proud of so far!

when I started out, the EE3 resembled what i would call a 'good enough' version, far below any respectable standards.

from the 99centtaco looking sling to the crooked scope and lumpy looking features, the blaster was begging for some upgrades.

so I replaced the lumpy molded and overly elongated flash tube with a mini replica MPP (using accurate measurements for length), straightened the scope, added weathering as well as some stock greeb colors. updated the sling by cutting a decent amount off its overall length, tied the knot on the back and fed a strip through the front (perfect!), lastly... added the screws to the front barrel mount!! now if i can just get Erv to make me a mini blastercore sound board.... ha!

and the results...

i will likely cut the forward part of the scope as it is much too long.

i also really want to reorient the stock but fear that if i cut it off the D-bracket to move it up a but so it isn't angling downward like it is now, it may result in the stock looking too short. i have yet to find a solution due to the size of even the smallest saw blades available without spending 100$ to just make one cut. recommendations are welcomed!

Fyi Jeremy, There are hobby shops that carry white decal paper
White on White Decal Paper for Ink Jet & Laser Printers & Copiers (5 Sheets)

And also available are Testor White decal paper for inkjets, some are available at Walmart, Hobby Lobby etc.

HTH

okok, i wont keep it a secret how i plan on doing the skull... and way ahead of you brother... water slide decal! for both the skull and the feather on the chest armor. i already used one on the jetpack for the white detail on the lower left.

only issue is that decal printing peeps everywhere cant print white! the pink you see surrounding the skull shows up transparent pink against a white background, just like on the paper, no white [emoji53]. so i've masked off the shoulder to paint the container but i will have to order another sheet of just the skull in different sizes to find the perfect one. i can fill up one of these sheets with skulls for the same price as it costs to just print one so i've got plenty of room to figure it out! just hoping the red ink will be solid enough to not show the color difference between the yellow and white where the skull overlaps both at the outside of the tusks.

Just found that @RafalFett makes the shin tools in 1/4 scale. Had to share if anyone wants better replacement https://www.shapeways.com/product/J...w&utm_medium=affiliate&utm_campaign=affiliate

Thanks for the heads up! I also have the helmet (https://www.shapeways.com/product/9VBX6KXJD/helmet-1-4th-scale?optionId=58840729) and the jetpack (https://www.shapeways.com/product/9DH4WCVX3/jetpack-1-4th-scale?optionId=58747915) in 1/4 scale, but these models are not downloadable as the source models are free to download and anyone can make their own 1/4 scale models.

i think i did pretty good converting what they provided into something acceptable and had some fun adding the tiny details. but, just like a 1/1 scale build, there's always room for upgrading and those shin tools look awesome! the SS shin tools are grossly disproportionate, RafalFett do you (Shapeways) actually print these or is the price just for the file?

Hey Raf, any possibility of doing the Pulce 40 in 1/4 scale???? This Sacros K11 is killing me just knowing it is in the holster! lol

Hey guys! I know I've been kind of out of the loop (work and life have cut into my progress on the Fett life pretty hard). If you guys want to modify my original model I'm cool with it. I made it as a way to contribute to all the help I've gotten from all of you so if there's stuff you want to do to make it more accurate go for it,

I totally agree, I compared it and what a difference. Slightly larger than the SS tools though. Will try to post a picture for comparison
