Did you know that the average police officer is more likely to die 20 years earlier than someone with another career? I found that out watching cops the other day.:) Anyway, i am a sound technician at my high schools performing arts center as well as all of the auditoriums in my school district.

I am a contractor and a business owner. I am also a reserve police officer.
Gil, you may want to try the reserve officer route first. I don't think I could do it full time. Although I do enjoy the once in a while thrill, Most of it is kind of boring and as braks buddy said it is disturbing what people do to themselves and others. But every once in while you have a good story to tell your friends.

I'm the network administrator for aMagna International plant--the largest OEM automotive parts manufacturer in the world! :)

And currently trying to convince my toolroom department to make me machined parts for my Fett! :)

I've been bartending for the last 3 years, with some freelance illustration work on the side. But I'm tired of babysitting drunks, and the money doesn't matter to me any more. I just went part time so I'll do that 1 day, and the other 6 will be used to get my illustration, paintings, and props off the ground.

Police officer. I started out in law enforcement in '91, took almost six years off to be a firefighter/EMT, missed being a cop, so I got back into it in '98. Current rank: Sergeant.

Gil, you may never get rich being a cop, but pride is priceless.

Day job: (UNION) Extrusion Machine operator. i.e. I make PLASTIC FILM = Matress wrap, stretch wrap, shrink wrap, trash bags, bread bags, zip lock, frozen food bags(TYSON, Kimberly Clark)and so on and so on.

Volanteer: United way funds distrabution panel and Ambasadore, March of dimes, Union safety stuard, Plant saftey team member , Plant Safety commity member, Plant Saftey tour member. Praise and worship contemp. band

Full time DAD with 3 girls.

Hobbies: Anything Star Wars, lifting weights( a trainer at Big ape gym for a year.) install car audio components(used to run a small electronics store.)
