Now, sorry, I do not mean to trash this upon you guys, but has anyone spotted that unfortunate events follow each other?
I spent my new year's eve quite nicely on a bar, with a friend, met a nice, lovely girl, only to get a call from a friend whose sister had been beaten by her (so-called) boyfriend.
Sheesh! All this to me!!! if anyone can remember what I went through early summer, this pushed the envelope..
I Immediately asked the number from the girl I was talking to, explained what was happening, and promised to call her come tomorrow.. I then went to my friend, Laura, with whom I went to see her sister. She (the sister) had a swelling bruise on her left eye, and my friend Laura yelled him (the sister's boyfriend) to hit another woman. He did, unfortunately, try. At that point, I went mad. I threw the bastard on the floor, and he would have ended up on the hospital if the girls would not have asked (And i mean ASKED, not yelled or prayed) me to stop. No fists were thrown, otherwise the guy would be in hospital at that instant.
Still, even after Laura told that I was correct to come in between, I feel somewhat disappointed at myself. I have practiced Aikido for ten years, and quite frankly, the shrimp-of-a-guy would not have been any problem.. Still. I feel bad.. This is not in my nature by far. I know only too well what damage a human body can and cannot absorb. I would not have any trouble if I was the one attacked. Self-defence is acceptable by any (reasonable) laws. Still, I stepped in when a person I cared was attacked.
Was I wrong to step in? And please, If I used improper words in this post, I am sorry for that. In my mind, the words are tenfold, and quite impolite..
