Okay,
now let me prefis this with IT IS ONLY A DISCOUSSION WITH A FRIEND WHO WANTS TO CAST PROP STUFF.
I was talking with a buddy of mine who wants to get into casting stuff. he does great work but is not so much of a modeler. his theory is to go and buy a set of (what ever he is casting at the time) the worst quality castings and fix them up. completly rework them into a top quality product. I myself think this is a bad idea, or more likely frown apon this idea. he thinks that if he completly reworks the parts that it makes it okay. please fire away with your opinions. now his thought process is that if he reworks it that it is a new product. not that it is his, but that it is a new item.
