General Weathering Question

FettVader

New Hunter
Hey everyone!
While I've been researching much of the paints and ways to weather my ESB Boba Fett, I've been wondering what general areas on the costume need weathering? I definitely know that the armor and helmet need weathering (obviously) but what are some other major area that need weathering? What are the paints and methods that you guys use to weather them? Are there any references or forum posts that you guys use as reference for the costume?

I use reference photos from the gallery to guide my weathering. Other areas include the cape, especially around the edges and holes, as well as the flight suit. The suit is very dark at the bottom, and other areas too like the pockets. The flak vest, neckseal and gloves are another thing that might need weathering depending on the color of your soft parts.

FettVader almost everything should have weathering. I would suggest getting as comfortable using an airbrush as possible. Spraycan is okay, however it is not as precise and can overspray. Start off a little at a time. Take a few pictures in the daylight, evaluate and determine if you want to add more or not. Its a personal preference. As Gregory suggested, use the gallery as your guide in weathering http://www.thedentedhelmet.com/gallery/g553-boba-fett-the-empire-strikes-back.html
