Arturo, awesome paint job! Colors look dead-on.

So in case I missed the weigh-in, how much does this pack weigh? 2 lbs? 5 lbs? Do you have a scale?

I would imagine these colours would work on the RotJ pack, but you 'd have to make it look a little more beaten up.

I would. And just like Han-Hunter said just beat it up quite a bit.

Here's some pictures of the Repro Boba Jet Pack and then next one is from the Jango Unleashed figure.

Thanks for the tips SEEKER, that pic will help me alot when painting mine. I have a question, when misting, do I use both paints at the same time?? or do I use a base paint first and then mist it with the other??

    Thanks.

One color at a time dude. Yellow first, let dry for a bit then the mist orange, and so on.

SEEK- Did you paint on the jp markings, or did you find decals for this? I'm hoping to find a set of decals for mine soon!

OK, I finally got my JP put together (with the exception of finishing the beacon.

I still have to adjust the straps on both the harness and the JP as this almost caused me to do a Jango and lose my head

But seriously folks, I have read what type of paints to get, but was wondering if there is any post (I have looked) that may have some tips and order of HOW to paint and weather the JP. Ex. what color to do first...blue?

    Thanks all

Not sure if it helps, but I painted mine in the order of 'whatever-color-I-had-handy'.

Since I weathered it topically, it didn't matter what order I painted it. Just make sure you give each color a few days to cure, or else you may pull some off with the next piece of masking tape.

For the weathering, I used an old paint thinner bottle. There were probably 6 or 7 dark (browns, greens, blacks, greys) colors mixed in there from various projects. I just dipped an old brush into it, and put random marks onto the pack. Then I took a shop towel and smudged it around. Then I did a misting with shades of grey and black.

Should the first thing be to completely coat it in aluminum paint? Then mask, then the colors? I was thinking the base blue first, then the yellow and then the burgandy.

Well, primer first. Then add your aluminum as a base coat. That way, if you ever chance to scratch it in the future, your aluminum paint will show through, adding to the 'character' look.
