Nice, I look forward to watching your progress sarg! Best of luck in obtaining those parts.

I really like your two suits you've shown in those photos. Did you make those yourself? Really nice looking custom makes, really cool!

I did the assembly, paint and fitting from parts i bought from other makers. The Barc is a kit for the hard parts and the soft parts i dyed and sewn myself. The mando is gathered parts, assembled, painted, and modified. Going to be a slow build on this one, should pick up speed next year as my budget and time will be better. Hoping to have it at Dragon Con 2013. The helmet arrived and will be taken to have signed by Jeremy Bulloch at Philly Wizard World this year.

You have (will have) excellent parts from great builders/craftsmans and I hope that your paint job will do justice for those parts, especially the helmet and the armor (so far - I think the jetpack will follow). Keep us posted with the preparation and painting stages of each part. You did great acquisitions!

Thank you, I am searching for the templates and the right spray paints. I've got some time before I start laying paint down. Im gonna keep busy with fitment, hardware installation, trimming and sanding prep. I hope in a few months, I'll have gathered more parts and be ready to get this painted and start test fitting.

ID:	66029I picked up these plastic hinges with my Braided hose. Anyone have experience with it? I was thinking lightweight and would bond well to my plastic gauntlets with Plastic Welder. They were cheap and I figured what the heck.

What color is the inside light of the ROTJ RF topper supposed to be?

According to the Supertrooper helmet parts sheet (located in the Gallery/Boba Fett/Supertrooper) there were 2 red (for the top) and 3 white (for the inside) lamps/LEDs, but there's no clear proof of the functional 3 white LEDs.

Thanks Raf. Thats for the Supertrooper concept for ESB correct? I looked it over. I see in some members builds a trend towards green lights or green wire for the 3 lines inside the clear part. Im good on the red outside LED's. I have a kit from SalamanderKing and i just wanted to check if i was missing something. The LED's in my kit are white.

In some of the exibit images you can clearly see 3 green wire-like parallel lines going partially under/through the bottom of the perspex block.

OK Raf, so some people just cheat and use the 3 lines scored into the part and illuminate it with green LED's. I think I will find some green wire and lay it in the grooves. Thank you Raf.
Not much progress yet Vultana, just acquiring parts and planning the build.

The weather is improving and I finally have some time to start working on this. I am going to start some painting and i am trying to decide on spray paint or Airbrush. I am a complete noob with airbrushing, I have a gravity fed Badger and compressor available to me. I see mention of paints for airbrushing and for spray paints. my question is with the airbrush, do i need to mix colors to get the desired look or is there a list on here of what I will need for ROTJ and just layer and be good with some weathering? Of course, my own research for these answers has already begun.

I have found quite a bit of info for the Acrylic paints. I will be buying a few and learning to use my airbrush as soon as I can. In the meantime, i am trying to scale up the templates from Raf to see if i can trace my damage. If that doesnt work, i will just freehand it. I managed to get this done today. I will be putting my knees and gauntlets together as soon as I get a full day off. I'd like to fiberglass the inside of my gauntlets for strength and add the piano hinge then paint.
