Hi dented ones, I got some hardware in the post today (totally awesome Geoff!) I now have every thing I need to get one of these finished.....so tomorrow morning around 11am GMT I should have photos ready
Here are a few to keep you going. As you can see the bottom clips are solid fronts with fixings on the rear, again with a back plate as supplied with the hooks. They fit perfectly over the retaining bar too. As I am using an ordered pack to give an example I have not drilled the holes, but I think you get the idea.
It is intended that a kit would include the back plate (metal 'U' frame) bottom hooks, soft parts, and harness hardware (fixing rings & adjusters). Top hooks and replica buckles may be optional as I know many of you have them,
Well Rob has been a busy bunny and proved his sewing skills...
This is the set up with the soft parts of the harness along with buckle and rings to ensure total comfort for the wearer. totally adjustable...
We still need to add the white webbing to suspend the JP and the stitching will be black rather than the white shown.
OK what were are really looking at is here are the proportions and how it mates with back armour, in this case FP v3. It all seems to work together with no surprises. I need to get the white section of webbing added next.
So I will be sewing another with the black cotton and the way vintage scuba harness are constructed, with the square and cross stitch design.
The photos do show the X type triglide and I think I will not sew one side of the waist/stomach strap when this used. Will see how that works out.
When did the promotion come through "CAPTAIN ROB".
