And I finally started on my armor. I've got all the armor trimmed and ready for paint, and have started with the knees and pauldrons. They currently have are primed and ready for the silver coat. I will be using the rattlecan method for my armor painting. I did have a question about the hose on the rocket. I've looked at multiple builds and the reference pictures and it seems some have the hose on the left side attached to the rocket and some don't. Which is correct? Or are both? Thanks, I look forward to keeping this up to date. I would like to be finished by christmas, however my ultimate goal is to have my Fett ready for Celebration 7.

Hi, looks like you started with the same armor parts as I did! Good luck and take your time. hope you finish so you can give Santa a scare.

If I'm not mistaken, I believe both are correct.
^Second this, I too have an SE Fett I'm getting close to wrapping up and I decided to leave that hose off just because it looks kinda funny attached to the rocket (and in reference pictures it looks like it was attached with some duct tape for god knows what reason).

As for the parts you need I can give you an idea of where to go! Regarding all the various metal parts and greeblies those often pop up in the cargo hold as usually people do continuous runs of different things you're looking for. For the wookie braids and cape I suggest PM'ing Woodman as he makes these and they're at a good price for the quality you get!

For the girth belt you can buy a white one here: Amazon.com : Centaur Non-Slip Mohair Girth : Horse Girths : Sports & Outdoors
I got that and then used a water based dye to dye it myself and it turned out great! There's a thread stickied on here where people talk of how to find the perfect color at your local hardware store, so that's an easy way to do it yourself.

For gloves I went with MOW because (as you've seen with the other products you've gotten from him) he's damn good at what he's doing and incredibly professional about his items, so it's very hard to go wrong there!

The ammo pouch belt is a different story, you can buy one made for you but those run rather high in price, or what I did is I followed a tutorial made by BatNinja on how to make one yourself, it took some work but it was definitely worth saving the money. But that's if you have convenient access to a fabric store and a sewing machine (if you don't know how to sew it's not hard to learn, as I did from youtube ).

I carved my shin tools from wood given that it wasn't difficult and with a good paintjob it's hard to tell they're not the real thing, but if you're going for authenticity you can actually buy the original parts they used when making the costume off various websites (these aren't relatively expensive, but I figured I'd save a couple bucks and craft them myself ;)).

As for the jetpack harness this is where I really spoiled myself and bought a metal one from Kcr7pr, don't know if he continuously does these but in my opinion it was worth every cent. Do some snooping in the cargo hold to see if people are offering!

Hope this helped! Believe me the costume's a boat ton of work but it's impossible to explain the feeling when you step back and look at what you've accomplished with each step. As I said before I've got a special edition Fett I'm about to finish so if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask at all! I was as green as grass when it came to costuming when I started this project and I've learned more than I ever thought possible, hopefully my knowledge can help you out, best of luck!!

I will be following your build. Looks like we are on the same path. I am also new to this so trying to source out parts is time consuming. I thank you for posting up who you bought your parts from. Gives me an idea on who PM for future products. I am currently waiting on my Helmet and Armor, should be here in a week or 3.

Good luck with your build
