Jodo Kast The Notorious Jodo Kast: Reapwind WIP

My Mandalorian love continues and I've liked this character for a very long time and now I've chosen to building him.
Thanks to Toolguy301's 3D template's I've been able to get allot of the parts from Shapeways and they look great.

Thought we'd start with the soft parts first and a few 3D printed bits then go from there, feedback appreciated

Forgot to put up these pictures of the leather pouches I got from Delta 13 matches the flight suit so well.

Had a delivery today with a few more parts from Shapeways.
Grenades

Missile topper, stabilizer and beacon for Jetpack

Decided to follow Toolguys example and have pipes joining up the equipment instead of strands that came from the girth belt.
I see it as the artists not being able to put different colours in before print and makes far more sense that they are pipes instead of strands.

So I got a good friend of mine to 3D print the part to hold the connecters and also got some flexible piping to run through everything

Had replicas made of the resin ones that came with the helmet.
Sand raiders UK they were called.
Really helpful people.
Was a bit of a special order

Cloak = Which looks better?
I've gone through allot of dyes to get to these choices, I'm not sure I can find the exact one unless someone knows the exact ones.

Back plate: Does this look okay for the raised sections where the harness comes out ?

Back plate and harness boxes

Right Gauntlet

Needs a bit of padding to centralize wrist, but otherwise fits rather well

Had a partial kit up to see if gauntlets were looking right as they were and only needed padding, I'm personally not seeing a problem as they are reasonably close already, but if anyone feels otherwise and willing to show me what I need to get them better I'm totally up for that as I want this kit looking as best as I can

And now the full body shots as it was a nice day, please remember I'm leaning back a little to keep the back plate on as its not fully attached as yet

Back plate to jet pack curve is pretty good I feel too

Colours, the comic is all over the place, so going on that Jodo has been mistaken for Boba by even Dengar I'm basing the colours on ROTJ Boba.


Here is what I have come up with at this time, All are Humbrol colours as they are UK available paints and been used fro Boba's here on TDH but will have rattle cans colour matched to them as I'm not very good with airbrush

I'm confident that they will be suitable ;D

Seems I was a little hasty and I aired on the colour front as I was using another reference for a Rotj helmet and parts wouldn't translate over.


So I have redone the colour chart for the helmet without the confusing lines

I also started looking at the jet pack in Nal Hutta (as that's when he uses the pack with alternate missile topper) and found it was just beige with red on the tank toppers.
seeing this as another artist error I would like to propose that I paint like ESB Boba's pack using beige (once I match it) in place of the green.
The same red used for key slot buttons on the helmet (Red 60) in place of all the yellow
Orange instead of red thats on ESB and keeping all the details on the tanks etc


Would everyone feel this would be acceptable? :wacko
