terminal fettler non cold cast helmet

I thought i would try my hand at a non cold cast helmet ( at the request of another TDH member ) a lot of the issues with cold casting aluminium are not present when using non metallic fillers, so i cast a couple of helmets using white onyx powder as a filler/thickening agent and was quite happy with the results...i have added a few extra details such as the raised trim line between the upper/lower R/H ear pieces and some of the signature scratches on the ESB helmet. The helmet has just beem primed and had a single coat of humbrol enamel, i am going to use the same layering paint technique as on my cold cast helmet...

Just curious, as I'm not a Fett expert, but the top outline of the visor towards the center looks raised. Was that intentional?

I'm not familiar with cold casting. Does this mean there are metallic particles in the resin?

The scratches add a tremendous look of authenticity to it. I'd say put more on! :-P

Looks just as incredible as the cold cast. Are you going for the AOSW or movie version this time around? I am just curious because I have decided to try a movie accurate version on my Fett scratchbuild.

What you are seeing is the ESB "wavy brow" it is supposed to be there on the ESB helmet.

TF, great looking helmet. I have a feeling I might be talking to you soon about a helmet for my display racks. Keep up the good work.

Looks nice TF- besides easier production, and color, have you noticed any differences between Cold cast and not cold cast?

And to everyone else reading, TF's helmets are fabulous. I love mine.

Two days into the honeymoon and I'm still in love with this piece!
Q: Are any parts of the ears separate or they almost all cast onto the bucket?

Greatest feature of my costume!!

And TFs paintjobs are probably the best around!

I have received so many praises on my TF bucket... it is really really impressive!
